Caving in the Gard

During our summerholiday we were camping in the Gard with friends. We also planed to visit some caves in the area. For my son Luuk (9 years old) it was the second year caving. Our first cave was on a plateau in the serre. The entrance was a small hole in the ground followed by a small pitch. It has some nice places.

After a few hours we went out the same way. The next day we visited a nice cave near the road. The entrance was a pitch of a few meters followed bij a longer one from 7 meters. Than there was a nice chamber with a connecting chamber. The caves continues through smaller passages. We did not visit all of the corridors.

For Luuk it was his first time he had to climb up a pitch.
