Caving in the Aude and Pyrenee Orientales

During our summerholiday we planed some cavevisits in the south of France. Harm and I were camping near Carcassonne with our families. Our planes were to visit 3 caves in the area. The first cave was a big cavesystem which was 2,5 hour drive from our camping. We had an appointment at 09.00 hour at the entrance of the cave with my friend (Caro) she was willing to show use a nice galerie in the cave. Our trip lasted 8 hours.

After our visit we said goodbye to Caro and drove to our camping for the night which was 1,5 hour drive away. The next day we went to a nice cave in the area. This cave is famous for its special formations. It was a special visit with all kind of crystals. We liked it a lot. We spent all day in the cave. Early in the evening we drove back to our campsite near Carcassonne.

Our last cave was also a big cavesystem. We joined a group (totaly 10 persons) to visit a nice part of the cave. This cave was special in its own way. There were all kind of different aragonit crystals.
